Antonina Shevchenko is Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai fighter as well as mixed martial artist currently competing within the flyweight section in the UFC. She is the older sister of her fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as an Muay Thai boxer. She debuted in 2003 at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won the event and beat Suzane Mill in the finals with a unanimous decision. Shevchenko was matched against Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina defeated Nievera by her superior striking abilities in the clinch by the body with knees.
