Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, also called Ari Lennox, a Washington, D.C.-based American singer/songwriter, was signed as Dreamville Records' first female artist with Dreamville Records by J. Cole. Her debut EP Pho, released which was released on 21 October 2016 was released on Dreamville Records. She began to gain notoriety. Shea Butter Baby her debut album was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox has uploaded her music on the internet since 2012, with the release of her first mixtape "Five Finger Discount" and her EP Ariography. In 2014, she released additional music on the internet including Bound. The song was included in Omen's Elephant Eyes as well as from Sweat It Out, on the 21st of July, 2015. J. Cole, who was part of the Dreamville crew back then and wanted her to perform on Rihanna reference. Then, in December of 2008 it was revealed that Rihanna had contracted with Dreamville Records. The release album Revenge of the Dreamers II which she was featured on, she sang the track Backseat alongside Cozz. In October 2016, she released her first EP Pho. Ari Lennox was a guest on J. Cole's Change and also performed as part of her own 4 Your Eyez Only Tour as the opening act. The singer also performed on the tracks Nothing but the Best by EarthGang and Icarus along with Bas, her labelmates. Ari Lennox debuted her first single, Shea Butter Baby, Whipped Cream on the 16th of July in 2018. A music video later released in September. In November, she dropped two singles titled 40 Shades of Choke and Grampa. Then, on November 13, she released two additional singles entitled No One and Pdigree. She appeared with Cole in The Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby On November 16and later she released the song in a solo version to her debut album. A music video was released on 20 February 2019 to accompany the track. Within the first period of a week, the video had more than 3,000,000 views. She was the supporting act for 6LACK in the From East Atlanta With Love Tour in December 2018.
